Ana Vasconcelos MEP

Ana Vasconcelos is a Portuguese Member of the European Parliament from Iniciativa Liberal (IL), part of the Renew Europe political group. She is a member of the EP’s Environment, Transports and Civil Liberties Committees (ENVI, TRAN and LIBE respectively); as well as a member of the Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA). She was Vice-President of IL and was responsible for the coordination of its Policy Research Unit, iLab. She read for the MPhil in Politics at the University of Oxford, was a Europaeum Scholar and worked as a research assistant in the Dahrendorf Programme at Oxford. She previously studied Law and Political Science at the Catholic University in Portugal. Ana was born in the Azores and is now based in Lisbon and Brussels.
