Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay has been serving as the Member of Parliament for Saint-Hyacinthe-Bagot since 2019. He is spokesperson for the Bloc Québécois on international trade, automobiles and aerospace. He also serves as the Vice-Chair and Member of the Standing Committee on International Trade, and Member of Canada-China Legislative Association.

Prior to entering politics, Simon-Pierre earned a doctorate in socio-economics of development from the School of Advanced Studies in Social Sciences in Paris, and served as a lecturer at Laval University and the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi.
