Driton Selmanaj is a member of the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo since 2017, from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK). Mr Selmanaj served as Chairman of the Committee for Oversight of Public Finances, Chairman of the Committee on Legislation, Mandates, Immunities, Rules of procedure of the Assembly and Oversight of the Anti-Corruption Agency and Deputy Prime Minister from 2020 to 2021.
