Dr Amar Patnaik is currently a Member of Parliament in Upper House from Odisha (India) representing the Biju Janata Dal. With a PhD in institutional economics, he is a member of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Personal Data Protection and the Finance Committee and often writes on issues relating to economics, finance, technology, data and environment. He has audited the United Nations and the FAO in several external audit assignments and has authored the book “Institutional Change and Power Asymmetry in the Context of Rural India.”
