The IPAC Lexicon is a public resource designed for IPAC members and their staff to quickly reference and understand key terms, phrases and slogans commonly used in discussing China.
Developed with the input of experts from across the network and beyond, entries are designed to be easily accessible and cover a wide breadth of understanding, from different schools of thought to regional differences in understanding.
The lexicon is a living document. It will evolve and grow with the conversation on China, with new entries regularly added and existing entries reviewed and revised to reflect the most current thinking.
The aim is to improve the accuracy of language used when discussing China, adding nuance, accuracy and a deeper understanding of how best to think and talk about China, both within political and policy circles.
